On November 18th and 19th 2019 we held the first Biochemical Society Drug Repurposing Meeting
The meeting was held in Birmingham and was enjoyed by all. The plenary talk by Janet Thornton was a highlight of course and many other excellent talks and discussions suggested that there is an emerging need for groups engaged in these activities to meet and talk. A major strength of the programme was the fluid mix of academia and industry leading to a lot of sharing of ideas to get potential repurposed therapies into the clinic.
