Tom had his viva last week and has passed! Huge congratulations! Here he is pictured with his external examiner Dr. Martin Lindley from Loughborough University and our own Prof. Richard Emes was his internal examiner. Apparently they gave Tom a 'fair but tough' grilling.
Lisa Chakrabarti is Professor of Mitochondrial Biology at the University of Nottingham. Her interdisciplinary research examines how mitochondrial function shapes health, disease and adaptation, with particular interests in ageing, neurodegeneration, cellular metabolism and organisms living in extreme environments.
